Located in the Jeollanam-do of the Republic of Korea, Muan covers an area of 432.5 square kilometres and has a population of 75,000.
It is surrounded by sea on three sides. The city’s Ecological Tidal Flat Centre, spawning bed and habitat of many ocean creatures, attracts nearly 3 million visitors around the world each year. Agriculture is highly developed here with onion, garlic, rice, sweet potato and beef as major produces. There are 3 universities in the city.
With airport, railway, highway and ports, the city enjoys a fine transportation.
On October 21, 2016,Muan signed Friendship City Agreement with Changshu.
